Have you ever heard of oracle cards? More likely you've heard of tarot cards. While it is the same idea, they are very different. When doing a tarot card reading, there is more tradition and structure to the reading. With oracle cards, they come in different themes and are considered more of a "casual" reading... although still very powerful.
Personally, I have Doreen Virtue's Magical Unicorns deck and find them to be extremely beautiful and accurate.
I've done Instagram Live sessions where people asked the cards questions and couldn't believe what came up for them. For example, someone asked about their future and if they should go to school and "Creative" and "Decide" showed up... I found out they were considering art school.
In my personal life, I recently bought a house. The process was very frustrating and overwhelming for me and I considered giving up and waiting to buy. I looked to my cards for advice and what showed up? "Finish What You Started" and "Worth Waiting For". Soon after, I found the perfect home.
When I do readings, I follow the instructions that came with the cards. I clear the energy of the cards from the previous reading by gently tapping them. Then I shuffle the cards really well and spread them out. I personally usually close by eyes and just pull whatever card or cards feels right. I follow my intuition and it hasn't failed me yet. You can ask questions or just see what the cards need to show you.

Recently, my love for myself was put to the test.
I was accused of being insensitive, dismissing someone's feelings for years and told I'm full of drama.
Most people who know me well laughed at those statements. Even I did.
But for a hot second, I started to judge myself.
Am I really those things? Am I a terrible person?
My self love and self image was being tested.
But then I thought... why should I let someone else put these negative labels on me? Funny how easy it is to accept other's opinions about you even when you sense they are just saying them out of anger and sadness.
I refuse to accept other people's opinions of me that I know are untrue. It did force me to do some introspection and examine where I can be more sensitive, loving and peaceful. It was a good reminder to examine my own behavior and to know when certain labels are untrue to release them.
Self-love isn't something you learn in a day. It is a continuous process. You can learn to love yourself even when you don't feel loveable.
Honestly, my work to guide other highly sensitive people has greatly boosted my self-love practice. I teach self-love in my course and give you some tools to start your own self-love practice.
